This day was warm but absolutely beautiful! Swimming was popular again (of course) and the Saturn got a lot of use.

One of the new things we’ve been doing this summer is praying while the flag is being raised and lowered. It has been good to hear the prayers for our country and its leaders!

Flag Lowering

Chapel times this week have been really fun because all of the campers are really getting into the songs, as evidenced by the next picture. It helps the whole atmosphere of chapel if the campers can get excited right away.

Chapel Hands Up

Tuesday nights of Super Kids means that the carnival is taking place. The campers run around trying to get as many tickets for their cabin as possible. The cabin with the most gets a little party before going to bed. Of course, if the campers would rather see their counselor be sopping wet, they have the option of dunking them. . .

Today is my last blog post for the summer (Matt Loberg will be taking over for me next week). In reflecting about the ways that God has moved, I can see how He has had perfect timing and endless grace. I don’t know how many of you are involved in a ministry of some sort, but I highly encourage it for making you dependent on God. Plus, reaching out is something that we are commanded to do as Christians. The ministry here at camp has been wonderful (as always) and just shows me that I always need to be involved in outreach to the lost and building up the Body. I encourage those of you who haven’t had the chance to see this to give it a shot.

Have a great day, week, summer, and year, and don’t forget to bless the Lord in the highs and lows. When He gives and when He takes away, bless the name of the Lord.
