Our 4 o’clock options for this week are swat, dodgeball, and mock government. In mock government (see, camp is educational!), campers sit around in turbans, togas, and kilts and make “important ” decisions and laws.

In other, more real news, the week has been good so far, even though it’s only Monday. It’s nice to have sunny weather (finally) for swimming and events like the Counselor Hunt.

Counselor Hunt

The big game tonight was Braveheart. The campers yell “Freedom!” and then run at each other trying to pry duct tape off of each others arms. I love it!

Braveheart

Our speaker of the week, Josh Koehn, spoke tonight about the fall of man and why we are sinful. He gave a glimpse of the hope of the cross, however, and will continue explaining that hope tomorrow.

(Disclaimer: Josh asked that this picture be the one that goes on the blog.)

My favorite picture of today is of a one-on-one that went on in the amphitheater. I love the simplicity of conversation.

As you read this post, know that even though we are sinful humans, there is grace that comes for those who believe. Grace that is greater than all our sins. And it is so simple to come by for us. Don’t forget about the grace that comes from Jesus Christ alone.
