Vaughn Blackburn is speaking right now about Job. Something he said really hit me and I wanted to share it with you. Even though Job had lost everything he had, his attitude was this: “The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

It’s a common Christian catchphrase, but think about what that means in our lives. That means that after the birth of the child, or its death in miscarriage, the Lord is still worthy of blessing. He is still good. That means that even with natural disasters such as floods, tornados, hurricanes, or earthquakes, the Lord is still worthy of blessing.

Even with constant war on this earth, the name of the Lord is still worthy of praise.

Don’t forget that. In the good, sunshiny times of life, or in the difficult, heartbreaking times of life we still are to praise God because He is God and we are not.

I pray that the Lord would give you grace to quote Job when your life takes an unexpected turn. Have a good evening blessing the name of the Lord.
